Household waste including food scraps, plastics, metals, glass, and other materials contributes significantly to environmental imbalance and forms one of the key pillars of Community-Based Total Sanitation (STBM). This study aims to describe the knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors of the community in managing household waste in Lakapancar Hamlet, Majalengka Village. A descriptive cross-sectional design was used, with a 45-item questionnaire distributed to 69 housewives as respondents during May–June 2025. The results show that among the 69 respondents, the largest age group was 31–40 years old (40.6%), the most common education level was junior high school (44.9%), and most respondents worked as housewives (66.7%) with a monthly income of IDR 1,000,000–2,500,000 (58%). The study found that 95.7% had good knowledge and attitude toward waste management, but only 47.8% exhibited adequate waste handling behaviors. In conclusion, although the community demonstrates good knowledge and attitudes toward household waste management, their actual behavior needs improvement through active participation from residents and the provision of adequate waste management facilities by the village government to achieve more orderly and efficient waste handling.
