Abstract

The success of human resource development is influenced by good nutritional status. Toddlers are a vulnerable group and remain a major problem in Indonesia. The 2022 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI) showed a prevalence of stunting in toddlers of 21.6%. Banjarnegara Regency has 4,056 undernourished toddlers, 3,000 underweight toddlers, and 7,000 toddlers who are not gaining weight. The impact of toddlers with nutritional problems can disrupt their growth and development. Providing Supplementary Feeding (PMT) made from local foods is one of the strategic steps taken through the First 1,000 Days of Life. Banjarnegara 1 Community Health Center is one of the Community Health Centers within the Banjarnegara Regency Health Office's working area. In 2024, the target of PMT was 752 toddlers. PMT was provided to 68 toddlers with undernourished status, with 67 toddlers receiving full PMT, while one toddler dropped out due to severe malnutrition and was referred to the hospital. This study aims to describe the implementation of the PMT program for malnourished toddlers at the Banjarnegara 1 Community Health Center, Banjarnegara Regency. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional approach using the Monitoring and Evaluation sheet of the Local PMT Program from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. This study used a total sampling of 67 respondents. Research results most experienced changes in weight gain of 64 respondents (95.52%). Most experienced changes in length/height increase of 65 respondents (97.01%). The coverage of malnourished toddlers consuming additional food was 78.82%. The percentage of malnourished toddlers who experienced adequate weight gain was 95.52%. The percentage of malnourished toddlers with improved nutritional status based on weight reference according to length or height was 95.52%. It is hoped that after receiving PMT, mothers of toddlers can continue the menus that have been provided during the PMT program in order to increase weight and improve the nutritional status of toddlers, thereby preventing toddlers from falling into more serious nutritional problems (stunting).
