The nutritional status of pregnant women is a crucial factor determining maternal health and fetal development, particularly during the third trimester, a period of rapid fetal growth. Risk factors such as nutritional status, anemia, gestational age, socioeconomic status, and maternal health behaviors significantly influence the incidence of stunting in children. Therefore, analyzing these factors is crucial to prevent stunting during pregnancy. The objectives of this study were to analyze maternal risk factors associated with stunting in infants and to identify the dominant factors influencing the risk of stunting during pregnancy. This study is a quantitative observational study with a cross-sectional design. It was conducted in Banjarnegara Regency, involving pregnant women in their third trimester. Stratified random sampling was used as the sampling technique, with 66 respondents. Data will be collected through primary and secondary data. Data analysis will be conducted using univariate methods. Overall, the nutritional status of pregnant women in their third trimester in Banjarnegara Regency is quite good. However, several nutritional issues, such as iron deficiency and weight gain below recommended levels, were still identified in a small portion of the population. These results emphasize the importance of more targeted and personalized nutrition education programs, especially for pregnant women at risk, to prevent pregnancy complications and ensure optimal fetal growth.
